A Dreamy Vineyard Wedding at Quinta de Santana, Portugal

A Dreamy Vineyard Wedding at Quinta de Sant’Ana, Portugal. If you want a fairytale setting with charm, wine country glamour and sun-kissed memories, Quinta de Sant’Ana is one of the most romantic wedding venues in the Lisbon area.

Situated in the hills of Mafra, just 45 minutes from Lisbon, this Portuguese vineyard offers couples a mix of rustic charm, golden light and amazing hospitality. Whether you’re flying in from the US, UK or Europe, it’s a beautiful spot for your celebration, and as a wedding photographer I’ve seen many venues and this one is truly unique.

Irish Wedding at Quinta de Sant’Ana

After a heartfelt ceremony at the Church of Gradil, a beautiful historic church just a short walk from the venue, the newlyweds led their guests back to Quinta de Sant’Ana, but not in silence. Cottas Club, a lively brass band followed the couple through the village streets, playing upbeat tunes that set the tone for the rest of the celebration. It felt like a scene from a movie: the Irish couple hand in hand, guests clapping and dancing behind them, and locals smiling from doorways. The sun was shining, the mood was light, and the music echoed through the valley until everyone arrived at the quinta’s gates, ready for cocktails, laughter, and plenty more music.

From the moment the couple exited the church with a vibrant brass band, to their golden-hour stroll beneath palm trees at the estate, every detail was joyful and full of life.

The bride wore a minimalist silk gown with sheer sleeves, while the groom and groomsmen chose light blue suits—perfect for a warm, sunny Portuguese day. The ceremony took place in a nearby historic church, and guests returned to the quinta for dinner, speeches, and dancing under the stars.
