After some emails and skypes we prepared some details of their elopement in Lisbon. This american couple in Portugal wanted the most organic experience for their intimate wedding in Lisbon and Sintra. The couple started their preparatives at the Pestana Palace in Lisbon and the elopement at Monserrate Palace in Sintra.

They celebrated their elopement ceremony at the Monserrate palace. They chose two of my favourites places to get married in Lisbon and Sintra and I wanted to show the best of both places.

For the getting ready and the first look the couple placed the headquarter at the Pestana palace in Lisbon. As a destination wedding photographer in Lisbon I like to visit this beautiful palace and to enjoy the palace atmosphere and its gardens. The big rooms painted in pastel tones offered a delicious light from the big windows.

Pestana palace lisbon wedding photographer. The first look was at the gardens in front of the main palace. We were writing some emails about how to do this intense moment. Some ideas appeared as standing on opposite sides of a door, or a corner or back-to-back. Finally we decided the groom waited with his back turned while the bride walk toward him. Really simple and beautiful.
