Way Up North Rome conference speakers
Last April during the Way Up North conference in Rome about wedding photography business, I took some photographs of the speakers just after their presentations.
As part of the staff during the conference, I was strategically placed on the backstages and asked each of the speakers to let me do a portrait in just 2 minutes. The light used was the available “blue light” on the deep darkness, the enough light used for the theatres, concerts and auditoriums staff to avoid bump into wires, curtains and sound systems. Some as like a blue darkness, really low key result.
I used my Fuji XE2 with a manual Zuiko lens, a 28mm 2.8 on a tilt adapter fuji-zuiko (40mm equiv.) , exposure: shutter speed (mechanical): 1/100, ISO-4000, f/2.8.
I post here 2 photographs of every speakers and the link to their amazing works. Thank you Cole and Jakob for the experiment.
You can check the Way Up North conference site for more information about the next ones: https://wayupnorth.co/
Note for my geek friends: Edition on LR just to develop the JPG from the RAFs, no presets, close to “direct from camera” (all “as shoot” parameters in LR 5.7, only sharpening to 38, Noise reduction to 25)
